The foolproof way to dress up shorts, is to pair it with looser tops, erm, just look at the picture and you'll understand. Lol.
This has been my all time fav picture. I love that its stripes and florals, yet still matches well. Anyway, you can invest in stripe tops, cos they never go out of time.
Without the jacket of course.
Tops like this make your outfit dressed up immediately. It can be your equivalent of t-shirt. The material is light so it's cooling for you even when you walk miles.
I can't find the exact picture, but just imagine that the bottom is in cotton and the top in cotton/chiffon material.
You can wear basics but still look dressed up, with accessories!
Denim shorts and tee combination might work better than cotton shorts and tee.
If you don't already have one, you might want to get shorts in this shade of colour. It goes with everything.
The tee I'm talking about. It's casual cool. But please don't get one that is like too tight and too fitting. It has to be loose.
